We live 35 miles west of Nebraska City on Hiway 2. So I plan to attend the rally but won't make reservations so that the folks who live farther away won't lose a spot at the campground. I am retired but wife still works so she may not make it. Her vacation time is already planned for. Gary

Yes, if you google Nebraska City flooding you see some ugly pictures. The campground, however, is on a hill near the river so hopefully it's high enough.

Yes, Dick is right, no flooding at campground but Higway 2 crossing over into Iowa is under water

dqdick and jpkelpe are correct.

I haven't driven over to Nebraska City to check it out. The city is mostly high above the river so shouldn't be too much flooding. Victorian Acres is quite high above the river and so should have no problems

The Iowa side is low and flat and floods easily. Hwy 2 from the river to I 29 is low and looks like it is under water. There are 3 service stations and other businesses that look flooded from a pic a friend sent us.

This morning the news reports are some of the flood waters are receding but very slowly. The Missouri will be high for a while since so many other rivers and streams feed into it.

I'm guessing that everything will be mostly normal by the rally in July. The RV Park certainly will be OK

We would very much like to be there but can not confirm yet both Helen and I managed to break a bone or two last summer and I M AY require follow up surgery. We will confirm as soon as we know Or we could go ahead and make the reservation now as we need full hooks then cancel later if needed. What would you suggest.

Go ahead and reserve and you can always cancel. Ask them cancelation policy. I am not sure what it is.

Rich, we have limited number of 50 amp hookups so I would go ahead and call the campground and book. You can always cancel if you or Helen have to have follow up surgery. If you do make your reservations please post here so I can put you on the list. Hope you guys can make it!

Travel Note:

Penny @ Victorian Acres RV Park also says:
Hwy 2 across the Missouri River from I-29 is closed due to flooding damage.
I-29 South from Hwy 2 is also closed.

Best route (for us anyway) would be US-75 to Hwy 2.

Safe travels,
