Ark Encounter
We are planning our return trip to FL after the Fall annual rally. Thinking about stopping at the Ark Encounter in Northern Kentucky. For anyone that has been there would you recommend it? Where to camp? Thanks...

We stayed at Northern Kentucky RV Park ( www.northernkyrv.com/) when we visited the Ark last year. It used to be a KOA and the new owners are in process of reworking the park. It was nice enough for a couple nights. There are trains nearby but if you are coming from the Rally in Goshen you will already be used to that.

Stopped by The Ark 3 years ago after leaving the national rally. The ark was very interesting and enjoyable. We also stopped at the Creation Museum which is on the same highway and not to many miles apart. I enjoyed The Ark more but if you are going to be in the area then you might want to visit both and you can stay in the same rv park while visiting both. We stayed just south of Cincinatti but you might want to drive in to Kentucky and be a little closer to the attractions.

We stayed at Little Farm on the River RV Park near Rising Sun, IN. Can go North to I 275 to cross river and you will pass Creation Museum on the way to Ark Encounter. About an hours drive. Or go south and cross the river at Markland Dam and Locks. Also about a hour to the Ark. Ark Encounter was by far my favorite. The rv park has two sections, one up on a bluff overlooking the river and the other down on the river bank. Growth on river bank pretty much blocks any view down there.

No kidding! There’s an average of four trains per hour coming right by the fairgrounds in Goshen, and a level crossing (think train whistle) nearby. This is why they offer you earplugs as you arrive.

We did the ARK and Creation museum last year in September '19. Highly recommend the ARK, museum was a BIG NOT for us. we would redo the ARK. Just south of there , Cave City Area are a lot of small caves. Greatly enjoyed them also, biggest group was six of us. Passed on Mammoth Cave.

Whispering Hills
Whispering Hills RV Park is a nice park approx. 25 miles south of the Ark. We have stayed there a couple of times.
We enjoyed the Ark, it will take a couple of days if you want to spend time at every exhibit and read the information and to take in the videos. We spent just 3/4 of a day for our tour.

Arc
If the restaurant is still open, right outside of the Arc, there is a Mexican rest., we found the food and service to be very good

Never been to the Ark, but driven by it several times. Someday we'll go there. Every time we drive by, we make the comment to each other we need to come back and visit it.
The Ark Encounter comes up on several forum websites, and I have found far more positive responsive than negative. I think it all depends upon how literal each individual takes the Bible to appreciate HOW one experiences it.
Apart from the overall "theme" of the "Encounter", I understand the building, which is built after the Biblical description in Genesis, is an amazing work of architecture itself, built exclusively by Amish builders. That in itself would make it worth while to see.
Now, talking about "creation" and Genesis, and all that, here a good question for everyone. As Ken Ham (Creation Ministries) founder would say .... "Now you've got to think Biblically."... so....
Which came first, the chicken or the egg? yea, a really age old question. If you "think Biblically", the question will never, ever be a question of debate again..
Answer: The chicken came first.
Why? Because God created all the animals first, THEN said to each one ... "Be fruitful and multiply."
The egg is a product of "reproduction". The chicken had to come first, reproduction (be fruitful and multiply - the egg) came second.
If you truly believe the Bible and "think Biblically", this question will never be a mystery again.

We stayed at Elk Horn Campground. About 5 miles from the ARK. It was a very nice. They have a general store inside the camp grounds. Good for milk, bread, beer, ice, ect. Think it was about $40.00 a night.

Religious “encounters” generally are from the “creation” point of view. If you believe in creation, I’m sure you will enjoy the Ark Encounter.
If you believe in evolution, you come come away questioning why you stop at the Ark Encounter.
Dinosaurs walked the earth in biblical times ? I’m not kidding. You will see that there.
Please read reviews online about this place.
