Exclamation Pedestal Power Issue - Caution

While on our way south this year we stopped at Valdosta Oaks RV park in Valdosta, GA just off I75. Went to the site, connected 50A power and the hardwired SurgeGuard said no ground, reversed polarity. Called office, they said they had just had all the breakers replaced in the park and they were sure it was our unit. (we had 5 previous stops no issues). They moved us to another site, connected again, same reading, we got refund and left to find another park. We we lucky just one exit south found another park, check in went to site, connected 50A, system cycled and said success. If you stop at this park and have a power protection device you might experience issues. On leaving the office said that the portable surge devices have in the past reported issues, they just removed them and hooked up anyway. Just thought I would let everyone know, the choice is yours.

If in doubt, use your multimeter.
If you dont know how. Call an electrician.

We had the same issue with a spot in a park in Indiana. Came back the next year and they hadn't fixed it. Last year we discovered they were out of business.
