2021 Western Region Rally Coeur d’Alene Idaho – Activities

We are excited about the upcoming rally in Idaho. It is time to get serious about planning activities.

We need volunteer organizers to step up and take the lead. Remember, it won’t happen unless someone takes the lead.

Let us know if you are willing to organize any of these activities or if you have additional suggestions. In an effort to keep the schedule from becoming overwhelming, some (most!) activities will be moved to the “do on your own time” list.

Once organizers/activities are approved, the organizer will create a separate thread for their activity to provide details and solicit interest. Begin the title of each thread with “2021 Western Region Rally …”.

Respond in this thread to volunteer for any of these activities or if you would like to organize something else. If it is a local area activity, the organizer will be responsible for gathering information (cost, dates, etc), posting details to measure interest, sign up, making reservations, etc. The organizer does not have to do everything; recruit help. If it is an activity that requires reservations, we need to move quickly. Once we have an organizer and enough members interested, we will slot the event into the calendar.

Regular rally activities that need an organizer

Morning poker walks.........................
Baggie breakfast..............................Dan
Bingo night......................................Greg, Jack, David
Pot luck dinner.................................Alta, Scott
White Elephant gift exchange.............Sharon, Steve, Marilyn, Richard +helpers
Craft activity....................................Joni, Margie
Movie night......................................Zach
Lake Cruise......................................Dan
Farragut State Park...........................Curtis
Golf.............................................. ...Candy & Scott

Other Activities to consider. One of these could be a group activity (if there is enough interest) but will need an organizer, others do on your own.

Farragut State Park

Scott,

I know there are some Navy guys that might like to visit the museum at Farragut State Park on Lake Pend O'Reille. In 1943, the place went from 0 to 50,000 men as one of three Navy training camps in the U.S. I would set this up if anyone is interested. I live four miles away.

That sounds like a good trip. How long would we need?
Let me know and I will see where it fits in the schedule.
Go ahead and start a new thread, see if you can stir up some interest.

Thanks

Scott

Our schedule is starting to come together. Several members have volunteered to organize activities; thank you.

We still need someone to step up and organize the Morning Poker Walks, Pot Luck Dinner, White Elephant and a craft activity. There is also room in the schedule for a couple more activities if someone sees something they would like to work on. None of this stuff is hard or something we have not done before; there will be plenty of help; please volunteer.

We need someone to coordinate the event. Getting people to signup for dishes ex salads , main courses, deserts . You can look at past years rally post to get ideas on what’s needed
