MaxxAir Vent not working

I’m curious if anyone has issues with their vent not opening? I have a 2021 Montana High country and it’s only a couple months old. The vent no longer opens unless I get a stool and open it manually. The fan works just fine tho. Any suggestions before we start breaking stuff trying to fix it? Haha.

A sticking lid was a problem on the older ones and probably the same for yours. Unfortunately you will need to get on the roof but the fix is pretty simple. Clean the seal where the lid sits when closed, with a soapy rag or some have used alcohol wipes. Treat the seal with dry lube or a silicon spray. Some use 303 protectant.

Once it is opened manually, I would think the open and close should work at least immediately after this. Does it close with the power or do you have to close it manually also? If it does not work in any case, then it may be the water sensor. It closes the lid during rain and I assume wouldn't open until dry, but I am not sure of this.

Find the fuse, pull it and return it, my vent motor got confused and it reset itself.

Just had the same issue. The releasant in the gasket causes it to stick. As mentioned above, the factory recommends just putting some 303 on the gasket and you won’t have any more issues.
