National Fall Rally - Updates and Some Thoughts
49 spots left for the Fall Rally! Registration closes on July 31st! This closing date is coming up quickly.
Today I wanted to share some thoughts and inform the members about a few things coming up. Very soon lots of posts will start to show up in the Fall Rally section of the forum. Keep checking in, so you do not miss anything.
If your partner does not check out the forum, please let them know what is happening. Please make sure you sign up his or her name for the activities that require sign ups.
When the schedule (we are working on it) is released, you will want to decide what sessions you might like to attend. These types of sessions are open, so you just show up. A couple might even decide to divide and conquer, but remember, especially first timers, you will not get to it all.
Next, I would like to shout out a" big thank you so much" to all the returning coordinators! They know being involved makes the rally experience fun for all.
The success of the rally is dependent on the volunteers! Volunteering for the rally activities is a great way to meet other members and make great memories. There are many activities that would be perfect for first timers or returning attendees ready to join in. Maybe consider coordinating a meal or an event with another couple. Most of the activities take place once, while others take a little more time.
If you have any questions, just reach out. Remember you will receive all the information you will need, and you will also have plenty of help.
Remember all the coordinators will post looking for helpers for their specific event/activity. It would be great if anyone help with something. You can even help with more than one event.
Today, I wanted to share one activity. The Pet Parade! I really love this one. It is a favorite. In past rallies, we have had a couple of birds, a few cats, and lots of dogs participate. Your animal does not need a costume to take part, some do. I know a few attendees are already thinking about this year’s costume. My lips are sealed about Gabby Girl’s look.
These are my thoughts for today. I was thinking back to when we were new attendees and all the information that was given. I followed the forum regularly, took lots of notes, and volunteered as a photographer. I am so glad I volunteered, as we make many great lifetime friends at our first rally.
As the rally gets closer, there will be a lot of excitement in the forum.
Remember to keep checking back!
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the rally!
