We have a good friend who has just been diagnosed with stage four cancer. Ron Marlin was up in Alaska with his wife Rhonda just a few weeks ago hiking, biking and having an all around good time when they found out Ron was not well. They have flown back to Arkansas and Ron is in St. Vincents in Hot Springs going through chemo. The Marlin's have been to many rallys and done many jobs to make them a success. Our prayers and hopefully yours go out to Ron and Rhonda for a miracle that will see Ron get better. I know they will not make this years rally but I hope and pray that they can make next years.

Update for the arrival. We're looking okay for parking. Not enough for self parking yet but one can dream. There will be some delays if we get deluged at some point. For those on the fence, according to Indiana law, it is not illegal to be an escort if you are not being paid. And guess what? We don't get paid. And it is daylight so when those pesky investigative reporters come by they won't need lights for the cameras. We will also have medical people standing by just in case someone pulls a hammy waving people in. I myself almost sprained my wrist I was waving so hard. But that's another story. So to recap; Drive slow on East Monroe st, look for the wavers, pull into the lot, sign in, get a free escort to your dream destination. And most importantly of all, ENJOY the rally.

Updated update for arrival. For those arriving on Wednesday morning, (including "Parking Team" members) Please have patience if no one is in the parking lot when you arrive. The "Parking Team" will have quite a bit of set up to do in the morning. We may have a couple of bikers to help but we will not get the golf carts until that morning. While golf carts aren't required, they do expedite the process. They are also more fun and less tiring. And let's be honest, if it wasn't for the fun we wouldn't be doing it. Remember, there is no "I" in bourbon.

A question was brought up about arrival times. I hope the following reduces the amount of confusion. The normal hours for arrival when we should have the best staffing will be from noon to five. We will have staffing in the morning of all three days but maybe not enough if arrivals are too numerous. Early arrivals before nine AM may have to wait until we can staff up (I personally need my caffeine fix and breakfast). The "Parking Team" members that arrive will have to set up and take care of personal business before becoming available to help. Arrivals after five PM will be accommodated when we can round up some help. Some rallies adhere to hard times for arrivals. Anything outside the windows must wait until the next window including waiting until the next day. We will get everyone in regardless of arrival time, we will just have to find someone to do it. This is strictly a volunteer group. We all have things to do and cannot staff 24/7. This would be unfair to the volunteers. We understand that unforeseen things happen on travel days. We ask that arrivals try to get to the park during certain hours to provide everyone with a certain quality of life during the rally. We have scrambled in the past and I'm sure we will again. Patience is a virtue and is mandatory on arrival days. For those that arrive at weird hours, give me a call fifteen minutes out and we WILL get you in. My super secret phone number is 812-290-5433. We had an issue with our rig and it is at affinity for repairs. Looks like it will not be ready until the 11th. We are scheduled to come in on the 6th. Who do we contact to inform that we won’t be in until the 11th and how do we find out where to park?

Real bummer on the problem. The site assignments won't be coming out for awhile. Definitely before the fifth. Call me when you're about fifteen minutes out and we'll put together a team to park you.
