Solar Question
I see listings for panels that are monocrystalline and polycrystalline, which is better? What is the difference?
Anyone, anyone, anyone?

Dave,
Mono is better and more efficient. They are also a little more costly but you get bigger bang for the buck. Always look for higher volts.
Hope this helps.

Dave,
Higher Vmpp volts or rated voltage. Higher volts means you will need an MPPT charger controller to handle the higher volts but it is worth it. If you wire the panels in series it helps because if one panel gets shade the others will still charge.

Higher voltage also allows more watts to be sent to your MPPT controller with smaller wire.
