Solar flex
Does the system need to be turned off when not being used, just put in lithium’ batteries in , don’t want to overcharge them or is it controlled by victron system so they don’t overcharge?

You don't have to worry about over charging. The victron and internal BIM will take care of it.

That's the beauty of lithium batteries. They have a BMS that prevents overcharging. Even if it's freezing they will stop charging to prevent damage. Now if they don't have a BMS then I suggest you get one.
What batteries did you get?

X3 on Victron MPPT and battery's internal BMS (Battery Managrment System) taking care of your lithium batteries for you without concern.
Do suggest getting the specific charge parameters for your batteries from either data sheet or directly from the manufacturer. Those parameters will need to be inputted into your MPPT to get full benefit from your new batteries.

I turn off the charge controller when parked in covered storage. We have the 400i package with the factory dragon fly lithiums.

Installing Lithium battery with a higher than 100 ah rating?
I just purchase a new 2024 Montana that came with Solarflex 400I system with a 12V lead acid battery. I wanted to install the lithium batteries. My question is, can I use a battery with a higher amp hour rating then 100ah. In shopping around, I notice 250 ah battery which double the useful capacity for less $$$.
Do you have any information regarding the 400I system capable with higher ah battery if not, do you know were could look or someone I could talk to?
Thank you four time. I register(jonvon) and am a new member of Montana 5th wheel association.

I have the same solar system. You can upgrade to whatever amp hour you wish. It won't affect the solar. Will charge as much as 400 watts of solar can. Example I have 400 W of solar and 200 amp hours of lithium. If I increase my solar to 800 Watts then I would charge twice as fast. I am upgrading as we speak so that I can charge quicker with out using my generator as much
