Been that way several times, last few times I went up north a bit through Marquette.
Decent road either way.

77; thanks for info. Reevaluating our routes etc. We're going to end up with nearly 6K miles in two+ months= way too many stop and gos. Therefore, we're picking fewer stops and longer stays which will move this routing to another future trip.

The UP is some of our favorite places to visit. Last year part of our trip was Goshen IN to Marquette MI to Grand Portage MN - beautiful area, good roads. We could do a month in the UP.
