Kitchen Slide issue 2015 3100rl
So we are having an issue with the kitchen slide on our Montana. It is also the slide with the sleeper sofa in it.
The bottom of the slide is moving faster out than the top of the slide. So the slide tips inwards from the top. This is causing 2 big scratch marks in the flooring, 1 on each end of the slide.
The slide will also completely stop moving until the dining room slide goes all the way out. Then it will finish moving out.
Any ideas on why the slide is tipping inward on its way out, and causing the drag marks?

You simply need a slide adjustment. The top should tilt out slightly when traveling to prevent damaging the flooring. Also you should invest in these.

What type of slide system does your camper have? Cable driven, Schwintek, Rack and Pinion, power gear, hydraulic or just electric? The solution for slide problems is different for each system.

The 2 slides operate off shared hydraulic pressure so the slide with the least resistance will move first. If the moving slide then has more resistance than the other one then the the inert slide will begin to move. This is normal.

Adjusted the slide per Lipperts video. Did not help.

I had this same problem a few years back. Check the support beam of the slide and the bottom framing. I found that a couple of the welds had cracked which caused the sagging and the slide could not move in and out properly. I removed the outside bottom support of the slide, straighten it and then re-weld it. Good luck
