Road hazard warranty

Getting ready to replace tires on the Monty. A few weeks ago someone posted that they were offered the road hazard coverage. I have checked with both Sams Club and one ITD and both tell me this is not offered when the tires are used on a trailer. Besides Carl's experience with America's Tire, has anyone else found road hazard warranties? Jim

I'd save my money ... arguing with the adjuster about what exactly defines a road hazzard and exactly where tread ends and sidewall begins just isn't worth the spent brain cells.

In all my and DW's years driving (50+ and over 1 million miles) we have lost one tire to road hazard. And probably could have saved that one if I could have gotten off the freeway quicker. Inside lane of 4 lanes, rush hour traffic, and no easy safe place to pull off. So I would have wasted a lot of money buying road hazard coverage all those years.

Jim- When we blew the tire going down to Florida three years ago, I replaced all four of our tires because of their age. Tread was fine but the age was showing up as cracks besides the blown out one I replaced all four. I got road hazard insurance from Discount Tire and it was at a very reasonable price. It was all in writing as to what the road hazard coverage covered and talked to a dealer later on the trip and he agreed that they covered without any arguments any of the written coverage.
See you at the CPRR!
