Storage door hinge broke out of door

Just parked our 9 month old legacy 3781RL and was closing the door to the water hookup/storage area when the bracket to the hydraulic hinge broke off the door! Was not “man handling” the door just simply closing. All 7 screws popped out of the door.
How to fix? Do not think I can relocate the screws. What is best? Fill with liquid glue or fill with a dowel rod/tooth picks?
Every day I seem to find even more shotty workmanship in this Legacy.

Happened to us as well. I went to lowes, got a flat construction plate, the kind you use in construction with the pre drilled holes for nailing. Covered the back with liquid nails and screwed into back of the door with 6 screws. Then I reinstalled the bracket, with screws into and thru the plate. Problem solved. I went ahead and did that for every lift.

Ours did the same almost as soon as we picked it up.

I went this route:

This used to be a common problem when the hydraulic assist struts were first added in around 2012 or so. Current models haven't seemed to have the problems so I thought Keystone finally figure it out.

Do a Search on "door hydraulic strut" or variations and you should find LOTS of solutions. Bigger screws, bigger plates, holes filled with epoxy, and many other remedies have been used.
