External Tank Hookup

I have a propane line that's meant to feed a generator. I hooked up a propane tank and regulator to it so I can I can use a 100lb tank. The line Ts with the output of the regular regulator. All valves are open but no propane is getting into my system.

Mod note: moved to technical help section

On the end of the hose coming from the large cylinder, use a fitting like this: https://www.amazon.com/JINYI-Propane..._t1_B00HS3VY4I , and connect to the pigtail going to one of the small cylinders on one side of your rig. That will be exactly like you connect the 30 lb cylinders. That small cylinder will not need to be removed, but just won't be connected while the large cylinder is in use. Also, you will not need another regulator on the large cylinder, as that will over regulate the propane. Years ago, prior to having a hip replaced, we had the local propane company set up a 100 gallon propane tank next to our rig, and that is how we connected to the rig.

That has me perplexed. One would think that connecting the tank to the gen LP feed line that it would work since it's tee'd into the trailer supply plumbing. You would have to add a regulator. But you'd think it would work.

This is exactly how I connect my 100lb tank at my winter site. It has worked perfectly for several years now and is a simple hook up.
