I am pretty sure Montana/Lippert finally addressed the spring hanger problem with the 2022 (?) models. Just many years late!

Carl you are correct. They have added support gussets. I keep an eye on them and so far all good. 5000ish miles. Here's a pic from a recent post.

I think poor quality is or can be a problem across all manufacturing. You always wont manufacturing to go faster. When it does you make more money. And buyers get brownie points for buying cheaper. They never get a pay raise for spending more money. And we wont a perfect build camper but wont it as cheap as we can get it. So we have a conflict. How much would you spend for better quality?

Truthfully, IMO, if they built it noticeable better with quality materials I would be willing to pay more. Remember the old saying " You get what you pay for" and a long with that can be a lot of time & headaches saved with a quality build.

If my unit had painted or real wood veneer doors in lieu of the wood-grain paper that peels (3 problem doors - half bath+bedroom+main bath) - my complaints about quality would be satisfied.

Confession/ Clarification - The small list of quality issues for my unit is most likely due to the fact that we have not been living in it full time and have only put maybe 10k-12k miles on it since we bought it January 2018. I know my day will come when we use it more after I retire. I read this forum to get a free education on the things that will likely go wrong and at least I will know which way to turn the bolt or the screw.

Don't know. While ours was 3 years used and had whatever big bugs worked out, I've seen too many quality issues with newer ones. That said, EVERY brand has the same problem. I'd have to very closely inspect anything before buying - and the problem is that dealers don't want to put water in them or let you power things on to let you check out the important stuff. Guess that leaves me with private owner used vs. new, which is fine by me. (just noticed my map - we did the SE with a bumper pull before getting our Monty.)

If they built cars like they. Build RVs the auto industry would go bankrupt The junk they put out is atrocious and Montana is on the top of the list. I hate government Intervention but in this case there needs to be some standards that should be met. It’s like a bunch of drunks build these things.

I have a 2020 Montana Legacy by Keystone. I would never buy anything Keystone builds. Terible customer service and Camping world is terible. They kept it 5 months out of first 13 I owned it. Seem everything is very poor quality.

I recently pulled part of undercarrige cover down. What a tangled mess with ewires in piles just thrown in. Keyston has very poor manuals also..

I have had minor issues with little things of purchased hardware. Shower door handles fall off, closet door fall off roller with stripped thread, main entrance door hard to close, weatherproof rubber edging on cargo doors become unattached.
As one can see, they are all minor. Love the Floorplan, love the bed, love the shower, love how it pulls. Love the refrigerator and ice maker.

I would buy another.

I agree fully. All the new builds have an emphasis on weight. I like all the modern look, but I'll stick with 2013 3750FL.

I know your question asked about newer rigs but I wanted to comment. Our Monty has given us excellent service and now has 100,000 miles on it. Some of the features on newer models (disk brakes, full body paint for starters) would be nice but not enough to push me over the edge to buy again. The disks can be done as a retrofit. The paint could too but that would be more costly than getting that option from the factory. Yes, we've had a couple minor problems - the rear window lost its seal and had to be replaced and at about 90,000 miles one of the leaf springs broke. All four springs were upgraded from 3,000 to 3,500 lb ones at the time of repair. Bad tire wear forced me to get an axle alignment but no trouble with that since. In my view, these are minor problems for the use we have gotten out of our Monty and I would definitely consider buying another one.

They would need to make big improvements for me to choose another Montana. Brinkley is on my list or a diesel pusher for my next unit.

Ditto. My neighbors joke that I spend far more time fixing it than camping in it. They’re right. Love the 2019 330RL floor plan, but pretty much everything about it is junk. I had a wonderful Newmar towable in the ‘90’s, five busy camping years and not one tiny problem— sold it after five years for almost what I paid for it.

Sorry to say I wouldn’t own another keystone product. Their floor plans are great but the quality is just terrible. Customer service has been hit or miss. Mostly miss. The final straw was when they had me repair my slide roof after the slide gear box leaked oil on it. The leak was a known problem. The repair came apart after a couple years and I was told the repair warranty was only for one year! Frustrating when the only problem with the roof was their fault ��
