Space Heater
I need to get a space heater to cut down on propane consumption. Does anybody have a recommendation. Concerned about safety and efficiency. Will primarily use it in the living area. Picked up my Montana in October and used alot of propane heating it in the mountains while hunting. Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks
Dave

Suggest a ceramic heater - they seen to be the most efficient and do a good job of heating the coach. Remember in-order to keep heat in the underbelly and keep your water lines from freezing you have to run your furnace. Use the electric heaters as a supplement to the furnace in freezing temperatures.

We have a quartz heater and two generic electric heaters from Walmart. They all work fine. We prefer heaters with a fan for heat projection.
As steves said, just make sure the furnace runs enough to pump heat into the belly to keep your tanks and lines from freezing (if in hard freeze temperatures).

I use a ceramic heater in the bedroom, and standard cheap heaters from Target in the living room. Like Steve, I also prefer heaters with fans to help move the heat throughout the living room and dining room.

We use a Holmes brand heater in the living room when needed.
It has a thermostat and a fan and also oscillates.
Works very well.
Doesn't take up much space - we set it on a tv tray and run it at night normally.

I like using baseboard heat, its constance, has a thermostat, place them out of the way and they make NO noise. Come in 4,5,6 feet lengths. Cost some money but last and last!

We have a couple of Honeywell ceramic heaters from Wally World. They have a fan, rotate, thermosate setting, high/low temp sessions, has tip over protection, and it oscillates. We have two of them and augment with furnace on extremely cold nights in the teens.
