Solar Light Magic Craft Project

Solar Light Magic Project
Sunday the 12th
2:30-4:30

Woohoo, a project that will light up your nightlife! This is so easy you will want to make a few of these to keep in your RV for a fun touch of whimsy and light around the campsite. Now let’s get crafty on these solar lights! Bring your own drink, a snack to share, and hang out with old and new friends!

Supplies you will need to bring:
Paper towels
A disposable plate for paints
Cup for water
Stencils in your design choices
Brushes
Paints in your favorite colors, even neon!
Solar light
Pencil for tracing
Tape for lines

**One 4-6-8 inch-sized clay pot of your choosing, just make sure the solar light fits the hole and you like the look.**

For a few examples go to:
clay pot solar lanterns painted - Google Search

If you have any paints or stencils to share, thanks ahead of time!

The picture is a sample from a contributor, big thank you!

I found my pot and solar light at Menard’s however supplies are running out to make room for Christmas items. I chose outdoor paints from Michael’s. We cannot spray finish your pots in the building due to the chemical scent but I encourage you to find a spray sealant if you plan on using this solar lantern outside.

This is a fun and easy project to do! I can’t wait to talk to everyone.

I am putting my supply box together. I saw some pots at Home Depot. I found some solar light sticks at Walmart and the Dollar Store. I have some paints to share. I’ll see what I have for stencils.

Cindy, please add me to your list. Oops…I didn’t pm you.

Menards had all of the sizes of the pots that are mentioned in the instructions, at least they did in Omaha. I'm thinking they ranged from $1.50 - $ 3.48. The solar lights can be purchased at Menards or any of the Dollar Stores.

Please add me to the class. However this is subject to change if I can’t find a pot.

Please let us know how you make out, so one of us can find you one, if you are unable to get one. We don’t want you to cancel out. We’d miss you. Good luck!

The class is scheduled for Sunday the 12th from 2:30-4:30 in the AG Building.

We will have a limited amount of extra supplies available: Pots $3 and Laterns $2. Please have the exact change if you wish to join the class or make an extra solar light.
