Temperature Sensor

Seeking suggestions for a temp sensor in our rig. Will be in FL and will be leaving our pup in the rig on occasion. Usually Wifi is spotty so don't feel comfortable with units that rely on wifi. Anyone have any good luck with a system?

I purchased a small camera with temp sensor for our rig but it does require internet. I have an AT&T mobile hotspot with unlimited plan, so that's usually not a problem for us. Another option is a device called Marcell. It uses its own cellular data and will alert you about temperatures, but no camera. We used TempStick (tempstick.com) on our last 2 boats when Cally was still with us. The great thing about the device is the app that notifies you so you don't have to check every minute. However, you need good data service so if the marina wifi was spotty we'd leave one cell on the boat with hotspot on and boat network connected to cell. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
