Eternabond repair

In a previous post I asked for help in repairing the chloroplast under Monte. I tried a number of things including gorilla tape, flex tape, and a generic flashing tape all with bad results.
I finally broke down and ordered a roll of Eternabond tape. All I can say is if this doesn’t work, nothing will.
I was able to insert a piece of plywood above the repair and screwed the chloroplast to it. I than sealed it all with the Eternabond. That is the stickiest stuff I have ever used.
Good luck to me. LOL

Good luck to you as well!

In the event of another "event" you might try scrim tape if you haven't. I put it on my last trailer and it held up well. Only on it for a couple of years but still looked good.

Let's hope it takes care of it. I did use the 4" wide Gorilla Tape with good success.

My first two attempts did not work because I didn’t prep
The surface well enough plus the weight of the flap I was repairing kept enough pressure on the tape to keep it from adhering. No explanation for the third time except poor adhesive and the same problem with the flap not allowing the tape to bond.
This time I used plywood to hold the flap in place and applied the eternabond.
As a footnote, I should add that I have a slight hydraulic leak where the repaired flap is which doesn’t help.

Clean the coroplast with rubbing alcohol. Then use some some 3m primer 94 then stick the gorilla mending tape (costs like 12$ for 10’ ) or eternabond. It will stick and never peel off.
