Ram puck system

I’m trying to replace two trim rings for my Ram puck system. Don’t ask why, but I screwed up.
Once lined up, the should pop in. I think my spray on bed liner added just enough thickness to prevent them from fitting.
Will it do any harm, to my bed, if I trim some of the spray on stuff off. ?
Thx

If you are concerned about rust, I would paint any scratches if any.

There was a special technique required to put them in. It was called a grandson. LOL

I have the same problem with 202 F350. Have been thinking about using hair drier to get flexibility of the ring. May need to trim bed liner.

Dick, glad you got it resolved. Don't know what model grandson you used. We use a granddaughter 12 for many I-phone issues.

Jim, the replacement ring required a certain amount of flexibility to install. The flexibility being able to kneel down and squeeze the ring to install. That’s where the grandson came in. Heating the ring to give it more flex would probably have worked.
