2010 3750FL Front Landing Gear
History: Bought 4 years ago. We are the second owners.
Issue: Raising the unit up and on the hitch became an issue a few months after our purchase. Half way up the speed would slow ...then stop
Fixes that did not work: New landing gear motor, 4 deep cycle 6 volt batteries
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Mike, check to see what auto breaker or fuse going to the landing gear motor. You may want to switch out a forty amp for a pair of them OR put in an 80 amp selfsettng breaker. Had this same problem on our old unit and went to an auto parts store and purchased the 80 amp autoset and cured the problem. You can go to the search engine at the top of the page and key in Front Landing Gear and should come up with threads related to your problem also.

I had a similar problem with my '10 Montana. The landing gear would start rising normally and gradually slow down to a crawl, like the motor was straining and power was low. Eventually, the drive-side leg gave out and the landing gear collapsed. Luckily, I was unhitching at a campground and the pin was still over the hitch. I used 2 hydraulic jacks to hold that corner up for the weekend. Turns out, the leg was binding, and I was stripping the threads on the jack screw. The shavings were there to be seen if I had only noticed. Anyway, a new leg for that side fixed my problem, and I've been trouble-free ever since, knock on wood. Hope this helps.

The passenger side landing leg on my 06 Monty failed while I was putting my rig into storage after a 3500 mile trip. What luck! I talked to Lippert--recommend using motor oil poured down the leg for the nut and screw and high temp bearing grease on the gears at the top of the landing leg. I will put this into my annual maintenance along with running the legs to their full up and down positions. I got a replacement from E-trailer and will install it soon.

This just reminded me that our HC with an LCI frame has a grease fitting on the landing gear that needs its annual squirt or two of grease. This is something that may help the OP. Then his '10 model may not have an LCI frame and landing gear and may have an Atwood LG. When we had a SOB, one side of the Atwood LG needed to be pulled off, a new gear installed, the lead screw disassembled and cleaned, regreased then reinstalled along with heavier wiring to the two motors that allowed independent operation as the insulation had turned crispy from overheating.

I had a bad leg on one side on my 2006 Monty. I had parked it on a driveway that sloped and didn't get the tires locked good. I think I had slightly bent the shaft of the leg. It only worked for 6-8 inches and would bind up. I ordered a new leg from Venture Mfg. Don't know if they are still used by Montana or not. They were helpful and I think it only cost $100-120. Pretty easy to install myself and no problems after that.

Thanks for all your answers..apologize for the delayed reply... we were in transit and I was unable to reply until now
We made it to Yuma and did get setup, but a local repair guy did have come out any help us get off the truck hitch.
The front and back landing gear do not work and the advise at this point = the board
Three options now appear to be possible
1. New board...no guarantees
2. Wire new independent switches for front and back which did work in tests
3. high capacity drill to raise and lowerthe front and rear landing gear
Views....comments greatly appreciated

When my board failed, I relocated the ground wire to the frame. Only the switches on the side of the unit (landing gear and stabilizers) were affected. That solved my problem.

I sheared the spring loaded pin on the front landing gear while using auto level Put a hydraulic jack under right corner and got leveled up. Hydraulic jack was there all night and most of the following day. I bought a new spring loaded pin and installed it Put my hand under the foot to raise it up till the pin would pop in when it fell off the jack and crushed my hand Lost the 2 middle fingers on my right hand

Whew! My hand hurts just reading that.
How did you get your hand from underneath the jack foot plate?

2 friends were there when it happened and jacked it up probably not more than 30 seconds but the damage was done. Put my hand in a cooler of ice for a 20 mile trip to the hospital
