I just blow out the lines with air and put pink stuff in each trap.

Ha Ha - I do the same thing! Won't say one way or the other is better. Sorta like wearing a belt AND suspenders though.

I agree. You have to do whatever works for you. That is with a lot things.

This year was our first year blowing the lines out. It worked great. We winterized in October, took off in January and will be back in March. So, using our Dewalt 60v compressor will save us carrying gallons of pink along. Just need enough for the traps.

Over the years I heard of low places in the pipes having water settle after blowing them out, leaving the possibility of freezing. It cost so little and takes little time to make the extra effort. Guess it’s for my piece of mind.

I understand. Peace of mind is a valuable commodity!

I guess that makes sense. Probably wouldn't happen that both ends freeze first, but I guess if it can happen eventually it will.

Absolutely they will freeze, I live in Alaska and if I leave a 5 gallon bucket outside the water will freeze on the top first caused it is exposed to colder temperatures and then when the whole bucket freezes it cracks the bottom. Crazy how that happens but about 10 - 5 gallon buckets later, I store them upside down. LOL.
