2005 Norcold refrigerator -- shore power not cooling

2005 Norcold refrigerator connected to shore power, temperature set number 9, mode AC, outside temperature 80°, inside temperature 70°. I cannot get the inside of the refrigerator to cool below 45° sometimes it is 50° which is unacceptable to for food storage. Trailer is level.

I have tried running on propane with no joy

Any suggestions are welcome.

You can find a lot of information on this subject on YouTube. Adding exhaust fans is a good start.

What temp is the freezer at?

Here is a link to a Norcold Servcie maual https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...?do=file&id=72 It may give you some ideas.

A 2005 is little long in the tooth for a refer. What happens when it is run on Propane?

Is there yellow powder in the back of the refer that indicates a leaking coil?
There are lots of stories here on replacing the cooling mechanism. Tat may be the best answer in your case.

If the freezer is cold, as in frozen (6 to 8 degrees or so), my first guess is the thermister. That is the little device that clips on the fins in the cooler section. The higher it is positioned, the colder the cooler portion of the refer will be. Either it has fallen off or it it has failed. The diagnostic manual tells how ot test it.
