Landing gear not working
Hi I am a new member I own a 2010 Montana Mountaineer bunkhouse. My problem is I can’t get the front landing gear to do anything it has a gamma, electronics LCI remote control added but it doesn’t work either. I was wondering if there’s a fuse or something in line that I can’t find that has blown to the electric motor, a picture of what this fuse will look like would be great. Thanks.

There is a 30 or 40 amp inline blade fuse for the landing gear. If you over extend/retract the landing gear you can blow this fuse (if you are lucky - otherwise the shear pin breaks). Do a Search on landing gear fuse and you will get lots of Posts. Here are two to get you started.

Landing gear not working
Well I searched the wires all the way to the switch no luck on fuse.
I read that the remote control can lockout the onboard switch to landing gear, if so how would I remedy that?
My next step is to pull the onboard switch control panel and check for power.
Remote control “Brain panel” has power and I tried to reset code for remote with the instructions provided… that didn’t work either. New battery in remote and fully charged house batteries.
I really hate cranking the jacks up and down with the manual handle☹️☹️

The usual symptom of a problem with the remote control brain is the switches not working but the remote unit does. But here is a link to the Post that discuss the "fix". You can do a Search on "remote brain" (or such) and find a number of posts on this topic.

My 2007, Montana mountaineer the fuses under the front cover by the motor. It’s 25 amp. Look forward it. It’s encased in a little black holder. It could be hard to spot sometimes.

I attached jumper wires directly to the motor and it works as it should, so it’s gotta be the wiring, there is a fuse 30 amp in a small rubber case with a rubber cap it’s good

I had a mobile RV repair guy come and check my front jacks switches .
We found power to the electric motor when switch was pushed.
RV guy says you have power at the motor when switch is pushed so motor is bad.
Bought new motor installed it and still nothing
Any ideas???

First get a new mechanic! Is it hydraulic or electric jacks. If hydraulic then the motor you're referring to is the pump. If electric there are 2 motors. More info please.

I am guessing the OP has electric jacks with one motor given it is a 2010 Mountaineer.
I agree with Tony; get a new mechanic. The original motor worked when you jumped it. That tells me the motor was fine and the problem was wiring related. I bet if you jump the new motor; it too will run the jacks.
You wrote you have the Gama Remote Control system. Do you have the handheld remote? Does it work. Have you tried moving the "+" and "-" wires at the "brain" as described in the link in Post #5?

Just spit balling here with first cup of coffee. OP stated his old motor would work when 12v was jumpered to the motor. "Mechanic" told OP there was good 12v going through the switches to the motor, so the motor was "bad". In this scenario I would check continuity on the GROUND side of the wiring to the motor. Dependent upon how the "jumpered wiring" was applied, one can get a false diagnosis if both positive AND ground jumpered leads were applied to the motor. Again - spit balling here...

Ok bought a new motor ugh 520 dollars surprise it still didn’t work had NEW MECHANIC check wiring and it was bad.
Had the mechanic disconnect remote and just hook up from jacks to factory switch. The motor works!!!
HOWEVER☹️☹️☹️
In certain positions the motor stops and you have to hand crank the jacks☹️☹️☹️
Hand crank is really hard to turn.
At a friend’s suggestion he pushed the jack extend button while I cranked manually . The hand crank is much easier as long as the button is pushed .
My question is do they make a motor with a little more power?
Or is it a binding problem?
Problem occurs when jacks are at the low end or the high end of travel
