I also have a 2022. The unit in living area should be heat pump equipped, and as you saw when on ELEC it should work down to about 45 degrees or so. However, I also discovered (and later confirmed) that if you set the thermostat to 4 degrees or more warmer than current temperature (so your current temperature is say 59 and you set desired temperature to 63 or higher), the furnace will kick on to jumpstart the warming, then turn off when close to desired temperature. To avoid this, I now set temperature for 3 degrees warmer than current, that way only the heat pump activates, then when room reaches my temperature, I set for another 3 degree raise, and so on until actual desired temp reached. Obviously once outside temp drops below about 45 I just switch to GAS and rely on furnace.
