Bal Accuslide Help
Just asking for suggestions. I have a 2016 Montana High Country, and my bedroom slide is not working very well. The slide moves out fine, when I pull the slide in, the motor sounds like it is struggling and the slide moves in very slowly. I don't know if this means the motor is tired and needs replacement or possibly some kind of slide adjustment.

Do you have "Under Bed Storage"? If so, how much stuff and weight?
We had a similar issue with our bed slide, had to remove some of the junk under there.

Yes, I do have underbed storage. I have just basically extra blankets, and a sleeping bag, nothing heavy. I will try removing those items and see what happens. Thank you for the suggestion.

Just so you know around the 2015/16 time frame they had an issue with bad gear boxes. Ours failed but didn't quit just had a click and jump extending. One sound and the Norco Guys said "Yep, bad gear box", was changed and no problem since.

^^This is what my money's on I highly doubt that weight is the issue. Your living room and/or kitchen slides weigh much more and use the same gear box/motor
The bedroom slide has the most difficult access since you have to remove the slide valance. But replacing the gear box itself is a pretty easy job. I had to replace the one on our kitchen slide, which is newer than yours.

So, replacing the gearbox does that also include the motor? Would that also require some knowledge to adjust the slide cables?

You can buy a gearbox/motor combo or just a gear box. They are simple to put together. There's a fairly easy way to make sure the adjustment is right if you remove the cable assembly from the gear box correctly. I would watch a couple videos on the subject. I wouldn't remove the cables from the chain (which is what I did the first time). Just loosen the center nut enough to slip the chains off of the gears...that way you shouldn't have to retune each cable.
Look as some videos and pics and it should make sense.

I had a situation in which the caster wheels, which help the bed/storage box slide over the carpet, broke away, meaning the (now sideways) wheels and box were rubbing between the bed and the bedroom floor, causing the carpet to pull and the slide to misbehave. The wheels were held in place from the factory with a small screw..not strong enough to handle holding up a bed IMHO. After I reinforced the caster wheels (which required changing from a screw to a heavier bolt going through the underbed storage box wall) everything worked fine. You might want to look at that as well.
