And then there are those that cant tell the difference in dog poop from raccoon or possum or skunk poop. Or in our case here fox and maybe coyote poop. I have seen folks bitch bout poop and no dogs are around. People got to realize most campgrounds are in or at least near the woods or wilderness. There are more then just dogs poopin on your site. As a whole most people I have seen clean up after their dogs. There are always gonna be those couple that don't. Sorta like folks that don't think they got to dim high beams.......Now if you see the dog squat then that's a different story.

We have two dogs and always clean up after them. One because when we are in a campground and even outside the campground along the road or paths they are on a leash and you cannot miss it when they squat. If dogs owners do not want to pick up after their dogs they don't need them. Just my two cents worth.

There are many classes of pet owners. The ones that don't pick up after their pets are in a class by themselves at the shallow end of the gene pool.
Excuses for not picking up after their pet are just that... excuses.

If dog owners would police themselves, just as any specialty group should, others would have greater respect for them.
It is unbelievable how inconsiderate we all can be. We think our concern regardless of what it is the only important issue around.
I spend a lot of time id campgrounds. It is unreal that quad riders have to ride in the campgrounds. It is unreal that people have generators or radios or other inconsiderate loud noise after posted quiet times. It is outrageous that camp fires are often so BIG! It is unreal that people wash a spigots, even when posted at the spigot "no washing permitted here".
I do agree about dog owners! The states all have leash laws, national forests have leash laws and most campgrounds have leash rules. WHY DO CAMPERS TAKE THEIR DOGS AND PLAN TO NOT LEASH THEIR DOGS? I wish all campgrounds would have large signs saying, "YES YOUR SWEET, KIND, CONSIDERATE, ALWAYS MINDING DOG MUST BE ON A LEASH JUST AS YOUR NEIGHBORS ROTTEN, BARKING, BITING DOG MUST ALSO BE ON A LEASH!".
Why do we not just COMPLY?

We just adopted a dog he is 13 years old and he was slated to be put down and we are just tickled about getting him. but now that we have him,we now have parks ( private or public) that we can no longer go to due to the people that have no respect. I even talked to an owner in Indiana and he said the " dog thing was out of control" and he had to eliminate pets from his park even with the few simple rules, people refused to follow them so he had to punish to good with the bad. he would have to patrol his park mostly due to bad campers with dogs and there running around with out a leash chasing wildlife and not to mention the doo doo thing,so out it went. he has taken a little bit of a hit with sales in his park but he found a new type with out dogs and his sales have gone way up due to people that do not have dogs now can camp with out having to deal with the inconsiderate people who do have them. I hope that this is not a on going trend and hopefully the people will come in line and straighten out but I do not see it happening.. TOO BAD for all of us.

Life would be so much more simple, if people would follow rules . . .
