Suzanne Lake Provincial Recreation Site (Fernie) -BC, Canada

We have a 35 foot 5th wheel RV. On the way home to the USA from Jasper and Lake Louise on October 7th we want to drive through Kootenay NP and hike the Marble Canyon. After this hike, we plan to take a dip in Radium Hot Springs to relax. Then drive down Route 93 towards the USA.

We’re looking for an overnight spot, dry camping, boom docking before we get to the border. On Campendium.com we found Suzanne Lake Provincial Recreation Site (Fernie). There’s very little information on Campendium and the official website has very little information.

Any and all information is welcome.

We just spent 2 weeks in Jasper at Whistlers Campground. Loved it. Lots to see. Lots of hikes.
We are currently in Lake Louise at the Hardsided Campground. We were fortunate the sky was clear on the drive down from Jasper. You can see many mountain glaciers on the road south that you don't see going north. We toured the Columbian ice fields. Took the big bus and walked on Mt Athabasca glacier. Yesterday hiked around Lake Louise, tea house little beehive.
Don't know about places along 93. We came up from East Glacier NP. Stayed at St. Mary's KoA. Very nice.
When we head south we will be going to Calgary then across the bottom of Canada to the border crossing at Sault Saint Marie into Michigan, then on down to the rally.

We have found that most provincial parks in BC are very nice. Your 35' rig (like mine) will be the challenge; offset by your driving skills. Most parks we stayed at had only a few sites big enough for our rig. It depends on how crowded things are, but I only remember once not finding a spot. We traveled from Hope, BC to Whitehorse, Yukon.
