RV Refrigerator issues
I have a 2015 305RL that we bought new and have had issues with the refrigerator staying cold while using LP since day 1. The dealer replaced the "board and switch" while it was still under warranty but that didn't fix the problem. We were told that one of the advantages of having the RV refrigerator was that it would stay cold as we travel but it has not worked that way. Has anyone else had this issue, if so how were you able to resolve the issue? Thanks for any advise you can provide.

RV refrig
No, when I disconnect from the electric the LP kicks on and seems to heat up the condenser but the refrigerator doesn't stay cold. We ran for about 8 hours yesterday and by the time we got home the temperature was around 55.

The control panel on the front door has 3 settings - gas, electric, and auto. We leave ours on auto so it automatically switches when moving from one place to another, ours is also a 3 way unit.

Ours is only two way. We are either on A/C power or propane. It has always worked well but I have had to clean the gas tube to the burner. Spider web I would suspect. Next time you set up set the frig in propane mode and see how it does. If it is keeping it cold on gas when stationary I would suspect it is blowing out when you drive down the road. That would indicate burner/flame level issues. I only remember that happening twice and both times the check light was on the frig. when we stopped. I'm pretty sure if it is igniting the issue will be minor. Let us know what you find.

So does it stay cold when boon docking on propane ? (not plugged into electric). If so it sounds like an issue with wind blowing out the flame which could be due to poor flame all the time being blown out when moving. If it doesn't stay cold when sitting but not plugged in then it is another issue altogether....
Quite frankly RV fridges are more efficient on propane than on electric, we have been Rving for 35 plus years, never any real issues other than cleaning out spiders and bugs and some rust on occasion that falls down on the burner.
Had to replace a cooling unit once in the Motorhome many years ago but that was my fault as I didn't pay attention to leveling until after replacing the cooling unit due to my constant parking it in driveway without leveling properly eventually leading to a leak of the ammonia cover gas...
Otherwise the propane has always worked better than electric... Our 2015 is the same, propane always keeps fridge colder than the electric.... The fridge works great...
