$2.89 here in Brewster, WA......at all three stations! We have always been 0.15 to 0.20 a gallon higher than the nearest 'city' which is Wenatchee 65 miles away.
Why has diesel stayed $.50 a gallon higher than unleaded?

Regular is down to $2.39 here in southern Oregon and diesel is as "low" as $2.70. It changes daily. That is still big a gap between the two but better than some.

We traveled to Texas over the Thanksgiving holiday and left Iowa @ 2.59/Gal and returned to 2.59/Gal But found cheaper fuel all the way south until reaching the low point of 2.18/Gal South of Austin, TX. I don't remember the name of the station but it was right along I-35.

Gotta agree with TT2 and Fordzilla on this one. I hate paying these hi prices as much as the next guy but there is nothing I or we can do about it so let it go. If I'm planing on going somewhere I'm going I don't care if it's $5.00 a gallon.
That being said, I have now added a new category to the RV Related Links Page....

It does give me pause to determine if I don't run out to the store to buy something or order it over the internet with free shipping if I can find it.

Well most of you are at a much higher income level than we are.The cost of Campgrounds, fuel, services and just about everything else related to the cost of oil makes a big difference to us. As these cost increase where we can travel and how far we can travel decreases.Wish we could say that the hight cost of things has no control over what we do or how we spend our $ but it does..and that's the way it is.

I have to say that price would make a difference with us, too. We would still find a way to travel in our Montana, but cost will dictate how we do that. We would be full time, but we might not be sitting on a concrete pad next to a heated swimming pool in RGV with my golf cart parked next to us (but I would plan on this if I could). Less amenties, more WalMart (even though I'm not particularly fond of that).
I CAN tell you that we will NOT be sitting in a house in N. MI in Jan/Feb (or maybe Mar/Apr either).

Well what I am doing when planning the trips (the long ones over 300 miles ) I will just make my stay three or four days longer or 1 week in length before returning home. that will also give my wife more places to go and spend our money, He He .

TT2, I might not save that much money on that plan... unless we cut the shopping out... what a lofty goal!
N. MI: Gas-$2.05, Diesel-$2.59
