low clearance
I'm planning a trip to Maine next summer. rvtripwizard has informed me most of I-95 has low clearance overpasses, 13-14". My Monty is 13'5". I'm planning a campsite near Ellsworth, ME, what is the best route? Does US-1 have low overpasses too?
Also planning to take several ME state roads to Bethel, ME. for example state roads 90, 17, 202, 139 and US 2. Is it safe to travel these roads with our Monty?
We're open to any suggestions.

For advance planning i use a current truckers atlas, then on the road I use my Rand McNally GPS. So far we've avoided issues.

Towed there several times, no issues. We go to ellsworth area and stay at narrows too as well as tow on coast like boothbay. Minimum clearance on 95 is 13'6". Low clearances for maine are me at Saco mile 39.3, me24 at Richmond mile 34.9, and me197 at Richmond Kennebunk river mile 16.5. These are 12-12.6, 11.2-11.9, and 11-15.3, respectively.

Check rvtripwizard closely as sometimes the secondary road going under the interstate is actually the issue.

In 2007 I went on highway 2, then 95 to Bar HArbor. Then return on highway 1, 3, and I95. However, my 2006 Montana was only 12'9" I think. Now I am at 13'5" - not sure what I would do today.

thank you jcurtis934, rvtripwizard listed all the low clearances on I-95. Now I'm concerned about the low clearances on US1 going under the interstates. Probably not wise to travel state roads thru Maine with all the low overpasses.
