Rear jacks question

We brought our Monty home April 11 from the dealer and took it out today for the first time, but just to the repair shop to have a level installed on the front and also a keyless entry lock.

We noticed that the rear jacks, when retracted, sure seem to hang down a long way. Is this normal, and if so, has anyone had any issues with this, like maybe bottoming out when crossing railway tracks to maneuvering around un-level areas? It just looks like it could be a problem.

When helping to back it into the driveway I noticed there were mere inches between the bottom of the rear jack and the driveway at one point. We do not have much of a slope on our driveway but if we did, this could be a real problem! Not all campgrounds we go into are perfectly level all over. Fuel stations are sometimes a bit hilly here and there was well.
