Wheel size
I am picking up a new high Country 353rl in a couple weeks. It is coming with Rainier tires and I am looking at switching them out. Can someone tell me what the rating is on the wheels that come on that model? Are they 110 psi?

I believe all the aluminum wheels on montanas and high country are rated at 110. on our 353 it had the 110 psi wheels.

Good friends had Rainers on their Jayco and went thru all four times on a trip to the Canidian Maritime. I wouldn't trust them to get you home.

Only way to know for sure, unless Montana central will answer, is to find the wheel ID on the backside of one of the spokes. I would not assume the rating is 110psi.

I sent a picture as requested to the wheel manufacturer. Reply was 110 psi. I drove 43 miles on the Rainiers from the dealer to the tire shop and had 5 Sailun 235/85/16 tires installed. Dealer gave me $30 each for the Rainier. Not sure about the steel wheel so just put 100# there.

The wheel will be 80# or 110# rated so if it is 110 then ok but if 80 then not so good.

The GM at CW is a Montana fanatic. He said all 2017 Montana and High Country come with the same wheels and are at 110 as the legacy comes with G rated tires. That was good news but I asked the wheel manufacturer and they sent an email stating 110 as well.

My HC came with Rainier E tires. From the deal 43 miles to the tire shop where Sailun tires were installed. Because Keystone decided to go cheap on the tires they downgraded the 7000# axels as well. The E tires were bare minimum in a 15,000# 5er. The Sailun are overkill at 4400# each. Even the next size down would have been overkill at 4080 each. The 235/85/16 were only 4 months old and less expensive than the 235/80/16 by about $10 each as they don't sell as many. The 235/80 is a direct replacement and sell faster. Only.9" in height du.
