Dometic 320 flush valve

Was out of my unit a few days - Montana 3811MS - heat pump was on and not furnace - froze my water. Not too much of a problem except my toilet - Dometic 320. After everything thawed, had a drip from flush valve. Ordered a replacement on Amazon for $10 and put it in. Now I have a leak where the foot pedal goes into the base. After a flush water comes out in a stream around the foot pedal where it goes into the water valve housing. Is my toilet shot?

I don't have an answer but I would call Dometic. Great customer support when I used them.

Nope, just replace the valve and you will be fine. It is a cartridge; the whole thing gets replaced; should take you about 5 minutes. Mine was leaking in the same manner . It was defective from the factory and they sent me a new one.

Like Scott said it’s a cartridge that goes behind foot pedal that would be the only thing to leak, or your hose connecting to it.

Hello, I have a 2017 3660FL Alpine that was also leaking from the valve . I tightened the clamp and added another one to where the waterline connects. No more leaks..u can buy the clamps n tool as a kit at Home Depot or Lowes. I keep extras with me now.

If the outside temp was below freezing your heat pump was doing no good anyway. They don't do much below 40 F.

Just talked to Diane at Dometic - she said its a leaking o-ring in the water valve. She is sending a new one UPS. Great!

We'll see if that does it.

frozen toilet valve

Did the same thing years ago. Forgot to blow water out of valve assembly for winter. Doubt just a O ring will solve your problem. Water is in the little valve assembly and splits when frozen. If you are going to pull valve apart to replace the O ring, might as well replace valve as well. Save doing it twice. Just a thought.

Well I replaced mine too, took longer to get the little screw out than it did to replace the valve.

Hi, we have a 2018, 3810MS, and are there anything that we should be looking at?. ALL my tv connections were loose, not even hand tight. Water connections were just hand tight so no leaks..... Going to double ck all elec connections next! A found a couple loose when i was messing with tv. Are there any other tv splitters buryed in the wiring anyplace? I found the main one screwed to ceiling of storage comp. They all were loose!!!!

Ohh, my rear backup camera and taillight wiring was all installed from factory in reverse. Wired wrong. CW had to rewire it to get it to work. NO Quality Control at the factory. That is why we all have to share the fixes!!!!!. Thank you all, been a big help
