Hydraulic Pump Timing out
I have a 2020 Montana 3121rl. Recently when I operate the level up or the main slides, the pump will stop..or time out. I will wait a second..push the button again and it will resume. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be? Thought maybe it was a Thermal Breaker. Not sure which one..there is the hot cable coming from the battery to a thermal breaker/fuse I believe (it is on the far right, and a jumper goes from that breaker to the breaker beside it on the left, and then a hot wire goes form that breaker to the main box for the hydraulic pump( pictures attached). The larger far left breaker is the main 150 breaker.
Nothing seems to be in a bind, or stress.
Thanks Don

Don,
Sounds like to need to switch out your circuit breaker. There are several threads on this, here is one. https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...ad.php?t=81195

Also should check your power source. If you're on batteries there may not be enough juice in them to keep the stuff running.
Even if you're on shore power bad batteries can mess up the whole 12V system.

I thought Keystone upped the breakers from 50 to 80 several years ago. Are they still using the old 50's???

The 80 amp breaker cured the problem on my 2018.

My 2019 still had the 50 amp breaker. I've replaced it. I think they started with the 80 amp breakers last year, 2021 models, finally.

I have the 2019 version of your rig. They installed a 50 amp self resetting breaker that is problematic especially in the cold. Most others have upgraded this breaker to an 80 amp.

Lippert recommends upgrading the hydraulic breaker to 50 amps.

Just follow the big red wire from the hydraulic pump, it will go to the breaker. I replaced mine with a marine grade breaker from Blue Sea.

My solution
First, the folks are right you have to get rid of those self resetting breakers, this is a picture of what I did. I also put a terminal bus for the smaller wires and that cleans it all up and works great as well. Mounting to the plywood was just to make it look nice and organized, but also to be able to see it better than the black background.
The 2nd part is I use the anderson blocks. I quit using them on the front because sometimes it appeared to need to go below where the block height was, I think that was causing a timeout as well as the resetting breakers. So I've had 4 successful Auto Levels since finished the wiring and removing the anderson blocks.

Be sure the connections on the solenoid are clean and tight. A high resistance connection could cause the same issue.

There are varying opinions as to what to change to, just 80 amp exact replacement or manual breaker, not sure which to do
