Dometic Comfort Control Center 2 Thermostat

Have the Dometic Dual zone thermostat. Has worked well until this am. No error codes. Zone 1 works fine, ac runs and shuts down per settings. Zone 2 AC works fine, but will no shut off even when when inside temp reading is several degrees below set temp.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

The CCC II is prone to brain-fade. The quickest way to see if that is the issue is to reset it.

To do a system reset:
• Make sure the CCC 2 thermostat is in the OFF mode.
• Simultaneously press the MODE and ZONE buttons. The LCD will display “IniT” and all available zones.
• Release the MODE and ZONE buttons.
• Press the ON/OFF button to exit system set up.

The process is described on Page 11 of the manual (attached).

We also had issues with this system. after numerous service visits under warranty, tech concluded that the root cause is the control board in the rear unit. It was replaced at the end of season. We will find out this summer if it is truly resolved. Our initial problem was front AC not turning on, and bedroom thermostat reading 5-10 degrees C (actually 25 degrees C).
FYI the thermostat talks to the rear unit control board and front unit communicates to the rear unit.

Several years ago, our front A/C stopped working, and I tried everything to solve the problem. I finally removed the cover of the control box above the filter. I discovered the circuit board was corroded, including the connections where the phone cable plugs in to it. I ordered a new box, about $100 at the time, and that fixed the problem. Then, a year or two after that, the CCC2 thermostat showed a garbled display and would not clear, so I ordered a new one, and that has worked fine ever since. The phone cable goes from the thermostat to the main A/C (zone 1), ours is the 15K unit, and from there goes to the bedroom unit, the 13.5K unit (zone 2), so if the cable or something in the control box fails, on the part of the system beyond the first control box, your zone 1 unit will function fine, and the zone 2 unit will have issues. Be sure to check the circuit board in the control box of the problem unit, remembering to turn off the breaker to that A/C as it will be energized if you don't.

I replaced both thermostats with the MicroAir thermostats. Pricey yes. I bit the bullit and bought two…not two at once - spaced it out so it felt less painful. Do a search here for those thermostats. Lots of folks have replaced the OEM thermostats with these. My CCC2s are composting at the county dump.

Replaced both of mine and haven't looked back. They fixed all our AC issues. I still have the original ones in case I ever decide to sell/upgrade the rig. I'm keeping my thermostats.

I want a micro air but, Amazon is sold out and everyone else is 2weeks out. It’s been a week with no ac. I’m about ready to go back to a Dometic just to have ac.
