Yes, it's a flood light and probably has one on the other side of the camper. It's good for annoying the hell out of your neighbor or getting a complaint from the campground.

If it's not labeled porch it could also be labeled DS (Door side Flood)

It’s the Poarch light and now on the new Montana’s there is a switch that control the one on the entrance side and one for the other side so you don’t always bother your neighbors. Lol

Yes, a porch / flood light. And yes, when those are on the back-side of the camper and inconsiderate, selfish, city scardie-cats leave them all night, ruining the dark and glow of a camp fire on your side of the campsite, it doesn't help you make good relationships with your camping neighbors.

We had one pull in beside us this week-end. There's only 5 campers in the entire campground right now (central Indiana) and this guy pulled in to the site right beside us. The campground has been nice and dark at night. In spite of the heavy overcast all week, there's still enough light with the moon, that once the eyes adjust, you can see every detail in the dark. The eyes are extremely sensitive once they get adjusted to the dark. And I love taking the dogs for a night walk after dark.

But this guy pulled in right beside us. Turned on all his outside lights, and then left! Comes back about 1:30 with his noisy truck, and then leaves again before day break. Friday night and Saturday night, all night, that light has been on blaring through our windows. Even with shades down, it still blares light in.

I seriously thought about running my construction workers halogen light on the top of the camper and shining it directly on his camper. But what good would that do. He's not even there.

Personally, those darn lights serve no purpose, they are not useful, and all they do is make your camping neighbors mad.

Agreed, I have also noticed more & more people are putting additional lights like LED under slides or LED rope lights on in addition to the porch, flood & awning lights. I get some can look pretty cool but please appreciate and respect your neighbors who value the natural beauty of the fire glow & peace in the darkness at night. My current neighbors are also leaving these lights on all night and it feels like I am back in a city that I had finally escaped when I retired. Are people afraid of the dark these days?

How about those ones that cycle between different colors all night long. And I thought I was just the only lucky one to ALWAYS wind up with &$$#)!& neighbors.

Mark, as others have posted, it is the scare or porch light for the doorside (DS). You don't say what year your unit is and if it is an model unit it could be run by a remote control unit that came with the unit. If newer if is run by the panel switch.

Those are likely aftermarket led awning lights.

Thanks. We just purchased a 2019 Montana 3931FB Legacy and ours doesn't have that light. Only one yellow light by the door.

I agree with the others the "Scare" lights are really bright and should only be used when actually needed or to scare off trespassers (human or other). I would rather have them then not since there are times we really needed them to clean-up camp when a sudden storm /wind comes in and things are blowing around the camp. My switch for the Scare light was not labeled by the factory.

This is listed as a “scare light” on my 2018 Montana HC 380.

What is this?

It’s a “Neighbor Pisser offer”.

Mine is labelled Security Light, one on each side. Replace the bulb with an LED.

I found mine useful to encourage the drunks next door to call it a night. The campground didn't enforce the noise curfew.
Use with care.

Our 2019 3930FB Legacy has them labeled security lights. That switch also lights up the hitch light.

It appears to be what they call the scare light.
