Need a new awning for my 2010 3400Rl
Hi group. Where should I shop for new fabric for my awning. That is the only thing I want to replace.
Thanks members for your input.
Again a 2010 Keystone Montana 3400 RL
Cheers

Lots of places to buy/order from. I just ordered replacement slide topper and a window awning for Stone VOS. Had never heard of them until I read a post on another forum. We were close enough to go visit and were really impressed, plus their products carry a
10 year non-prorated warranty. Fabric seems very heavy compared to OEM.

I replaced slide toppers and main awning with material from Tough Top Awnings on my 2014 Montana 3850FL. Quality material & quick shipping. Google for their website.

If you can wait until January, there are many companies running around Quartzsite installing awnings and slide toppers plus replacement fabrics for both at reasonable prices. Many at the Montana circle every year get work done.

@twindman yes if you go to Tough Top's website they have videos that walk you through the measurement process, removal and installation. There are also a number of videos on YouTube that cover fabric replacement. The "how" depends a lot on what model awning you have. Search YouTube for "RV Awning Fabric Replacement".

I would also suggest Carefree of Colorado as a place to check. It has all the info you need on measuring and getting the correct size. They also have many fabric choices. I bought slide toppers from them that went well with my awning.

We replaced slide toppers and awnings with the tough top awnings. All came well made and were relatively easy to install with 2 people and 2 ladders.
The only thing we didn’t like was that these untextured toppers had a hum in high winds. The original ones were textured, which likely disrupted the airflow so they didn’t hum. Nothing that pool noodles couldn’t fix.
The awning is still in great shape. No problems whatsoever, and much better than original.

Awning Question
My Montana has very cheap awning fabric. The edges curl up even when they're new. I’d like something better to replace them. Here’s my question: will a heavier fabric work on the Dometic OEM awning roller?

Just curious how you like your awning fabric from Stone VOS? I need to replace my main 16' awning and am looking for a replacement fabric.
Thanks

Their material seems much heavier than the ones I replaced. They have quite an assortment of material and styles. And I thought their prices were reasonable to other I looked at on-line. What sold me is the 10 year warranty against tearing. Only time will tell.

A RV repair shop told me there are two ways the replace the awning, a hard and an easy way. The hard way take it off the camper take it apart and replace the fabric. The easy way extend the awning remove the fabric from the camper drill a larger hole in the split in the tube and pull the fabric out that hole. I think a hole about 3/4 should do if not try a larger hole.

There are several suppliers on Amazon. I ordered from Awnlux and the main awning was $150.00. I got a quote from Stone V in Fla. and their price was over $800.00. Maybe their quality is better and maybe their 10 year warranty is solid, but I can replace mine almost 5 X for that.
