Question Roof preventative maintainance

I am looking for feedback on something I am thinking of doing. My 2020, 3121RL has some scuffs and scratches, no tares on the edges of the roof from low hanging branches. Home Depot and others sell L shaped clear plastic edge guards for wall corners. I am thinking about putting these guards on the edges of my roof and covering them with 4" or 6" EternaBond tape the length of the RV. Tell me what you think. Thanks.

I wouldn't do that. You will have an even bigger problem if you do accidentally damage that area with all the extra Eternabond on it. Better that you just make sure your caulking is maintained and if there is any damage, repair just that.

I agree with Bob. I have seen numerous YouTube videos lately about running 4" or 6" eternabond tape down the sides of the trailer as a preventive against damage. I chose to just reseal with Dicor non leveling lap sealant instead. Eternabond tape works very well for a repair, but running around every opening and edge of the TPO roof as a preventive seems overkill. If water does get behind it, removing the tape would be much more difficult to actually repair than just replacing/repairing the lap sealant.
