Update: We made it home to northern Canada a couple days ago. Since I am replacing all 4 springs due to them being "flattened", I crawled under the trailer to confirm measurements. I was shocked to find that one of the springs had broken. 2 of the 6 leafs had snapped. Looks like I was very lucky to get home with no damage and no noticeable tire wear. I was checking the springs everytime we parked for the night on our 2600 mile trip home. Must have happened on our very last day.....which happened to be Friday the 13th. Not sure if I was lucky or unlucky but I'll go with lucky.
