Washer and Dryer
We are considering purchasing a washer and dryer for our 2021 3761FL
Does anyone have opinions, comments, suggestions on brands or anything in general?? Our MBR closet is plumbed and wired to accept a washer/dryer.

We went with the Splendide combo vented 3years ago, we went with the comb to keep the use of the upper part of that Closet for storage.

We bought the Splendide separate units. Dryer is the vented model. They are great!

We went with a Combo Unit in our first two Fifthwheels, but went with the two separate unit in our current as it had an empty cabinet for them.

We have owned the Splendide non vented and currently use the Splendide vented model. Both do well. The non vented model took longer to dry. Both models require small loads. After using the vented model I would stick with it.

Do these vent outside? I plan on installing myself and not sure how they vent.

In order to vent outside you'll likely have to cut a hole in the side. Plenty of pics and details on this forum. Note that washer/dryer ready generally only means there is plumbing and power for it in a closet.

Had my dual unit installed when I bought it. It's vented through the wall. No issues so far.

I installed the Spendide combo (vented) in our rig. I do not recommend the non-vented model. I installed the vent myself, using a holesaw and a stud finder. No big deal. My decal marker on the wall indicating the vent location was way off from the location I used.

For an alternate POV, I'll play devils advocate... we considered on board washer/dryer (Not a viable option for our application IMHO) or washer & dryer options. At a cost of about 2400 dollars self installed and $2800 installed (for the separate W&D) by a third party vs $40 per month in laundromat cost plus fuel and wear & tear on the tow vehicle to get to one for the times we did not combine it with other activities... we opted to not install them. Also we took into account the income we could earn off the money we would not otherwise spend for the appliances. "I" bonds currently pay roughly 10% so that would be 240-280 dollars per year to mitigate the cost of doing laundry at the laundromat. Or we could buy 45 shares of Philip Morris stock with 7% dividend which is a very recession resistant income producer and has safe long term price appreciation potential. We do not miss the convenience of being able to do laundry "in house". Also, these machines will need to be replaced in the foreseeable future so there would be an additional potentially expense budget item to plan for. FWIW

We are on our third Splendide, one combo, two stackable. All worked great, the stackable is a better choice, the dryer option works better and you can be washing one load and drying the previous load.

I have a nonvented dryer. I would very strongly suggest get a vented dryer.

If you go with the vented combo model then it has to be vented outside. I know ours had an area earmarked where to cut the hole.

I watched several videos about installing it myself, but I wussed out and paid an RV service to do the install…plus my back helped me make that decision.

I seem to recall there's a sticker on the side wall where the vent hole should be cut, or Montana has some instructions somewhere. I would only install a vented unit, but have no opinion on brand.

Thanks all. After measurements the stackable Equator brand fits perfect with removing shelving or alterations to closet. I don’t hear a lot about this brand. Anyone have any reviews?

Out last 5er was a 3761fl and the separate Splendide worked great. We had a vented combo before that and it worked on very small loads but took forever. Had the stackable put I our new 5er. Wife would never go without and never a combo.
