Well in my neck of the woods, the lack of Rotella, Motorcraft, and about any diesel motor oil has been an ongoing "non issue" since about last November. I know ... one answer is to just order online.

Bought 10 quarts of Mobil1 Turbo Diesel Oil at NAPA for 5.99 / Qt last week. They had to ship It in from 4 other area stores. That is all they had. (Thanks for the heads up!) Local regional chain Mills Fleet Farm has it on their web site for 25.99 a gallon and I have tried twice to order it only to have the order canceled for no stock reasons, but just tried again now as I got an email that said it is back in stock.

Walmart says they have it in stock for about 35.00 a gallon. Have not tried there yet.

Again, this is Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel 5w/40. That’s all I use.

Or the toilet paper shortage of 2020. Any time there is any mention of a shortage of anything the resellers start buying up stock creating an artificial shortage and then putting it on on-line at inflated prices. Much of the stuff on on-line sites such as Walmart.com is not being sold being Walmart themselves (or whoever) but by resellers.

Partly true. It’s back on the shelves now, but almost twice as much $$

Oh my, another manufactured shortage to drive up prices. I'm about due to do a change and hope someone locally has Rotella T5 or 6. I just ordered a filter via Amazon (~$16.60) but the oil prices are well over Tractor Supply.

I just had my 2020 GMC 6.6 serviced at the dealership and it was only $130 with a tire rotation and a wash... $50 cheaper then any shop. Pleasantly surprised!

Yesterday I picked up a 2.5 gallon jug of Rotella T5 diesel oil from Tractor Supply (~$50, but no 1 gallon jugs) ) and two 1 gallon jugs from Walmart @~$19/each. Walmart's 2.5 gallon jugs were $57 each and they only had two and two of the 1 gallon that I now own. This will take care of both my truck and tractor.

Neither had Motorcraft diesel oil. TSC had some T6, Walmart, none. Shelves of regular oil though at both stores.

From what I could see, no real oil shortag....yet... but diesel lube oil supply locally is somewhat low - and it is getting expen$ve

At Wallyworld yesterday, one gallon jugs of T-6 were $23 and some change. Only 3 left. The more we talk about shortages, the more people start hoarding, and the more shortages we get. Like toilet paper and ammunition.

Is it even possible to hoard ammo? Can anyone have too much ammo?
