2022 Ford F-350 SRW Diesel Payload?

Hello All!

I realize this may be a long shot, but I am curious if anyone currently has a 2022 Ford F-350 diesel (lariat ultimate package)? I'm specifically interested in what your payload rating is on your door sticker. I realize it ultimately depends on what other options you add, but I want a ballpark estimate. The dealer can't/won't give us a straight answer until it has been built.

We have one on order and we're starting to worry we're not going to have enough payload for the fifth wheel (3121rl).

Thanks in advance

This only goes back to 2020.
Not sure if that will help you or not.

It should be fine for the 3121RL. Maybe not a 40’-42’, but fine for your empty pin weight under 2,400 lbs.

We don’t have a 2022, but a 2021 F350 srw, and the 3121RL. The payload will vary depending on cab configuration, bed length and the tire option you choose. Ours is a crew cab, 8’ bed, 20” wheels Lariat ultimate package. All loaded up for 3 1/2 months in Florida full fuel/ full def, and of course our “stuff” in the truck, we had plenty left on the truck’s rear axle and tires But close on the truck’s gvwr which is 12,400. Trailer weighed 14,700. No way of knowing how you will load up so ymmv. And you’ll never know until you pull on the scales.
Here’s the sticker you asked for. Good luck

Thank you so much for the informative reply, this is exactly what we were looking for. We ordered the standard bed and 18in wheels, so maybe we need to get the 8ft bed with 20in wheels. Other option would be to go dualie I suppose. Otherwise, payload seems to be in the low 3's which is definitely not enough for this trailer.

Low 3’s is definitely not enough. To be honest, we would have gone with a dually to have a big cushion and maybe a bigger trailer someday, but we have limitations with our homeowners association. Both vehicles have to be parked in our garage or the plow service won’t plow the driveway etc. her car and a dually won’t fit.
Don’t get me wrong, my truck is fine and it is legal, but if you can swing it and don’t mind owning the dually, they remove all doubt. Good luck.

Yep totally makes sense...we want to stick to a SRW if we can. How did you get such a high gvwr of 12400? We can't seem to configure options to get us that high...the most we can seem to do is 11400. Is that where the longer bed and bigger wheels come in?

Here are Ford Superduty specs. If you scroll way down you will find the GVWR for the various configurations. Looks like long bed crew cab 4x4 is the only one to make 12,400 in the SRW.

Awesome thanks! This definitely helps. We always looked at the tow guide and didn't even think to look here. Appreciate everyone's input!

This is the print of the window sticker. Maybe this could help you come up with a configuration. I did not order this truck, it was on a lot. It supposedly was ordered for someone who was going to be pulling a gooseneck then backed out. I got lucky, I could see the truck was what I wanted it to be.
FWIW, the load rating on the E rated 20” tires on the truck are 110# per tire higher than the E rated 18” spare. But the rear gawr is 50# less than what two 18” tires would be so you may not be limited by the 18” tires.

Do you have a pic of the door jamb sticker that shows the GVWR?

There it is there. The hard part is finding what all the weights are prior to purchasing a truck. Even when gvwr is known the truck as configured with stuff must be weighed to get the final number and by then you already have the truck.

MoontanaCpl, I found that when building a truck online it will provide the gvwr for that configuration.

Yep, long bed and 20" wheels.

Same rig and truck as MandK but with our Onan genset and our folding ebikes in basement we were 40# over on rear axle. Bought a RV hitch rack for the ebikes and by moving that weight (about 200# with rack) well aft of we are good now. Tows well and we're getting about 11.8 mpg towing at CGVW of just over 25k.

We just decided to switch our order to a f-350 dually. It may be overkill in the end, but the extra payload and piece of mind will be worth it to us. Thanks again for everyone's input and assistance!

If we ever upsize our rig we'd go F450 for the much tighter turn radius. Of course all the super duty trucks are gold plated these days...

Will be Fine

Our 2017 F350 SRW is fine with our 3720RL and yes within load limits.
