7000 Air lift bags and on board Wireless compressor, with blue tooth wireless controller. Run 8 to10 psi empty. Usually 40 psi loaded, but that is the beauty of the on board compressor. I can adjust psi on the fly. I would suggest starting at 30 psi loaded and adjust as you go down the road and look for your “sweet spot” that gives you the best ride. Heavier or lighter loads, you can adjust psi as you go down the road. I love mine.

The answer is based on a couple of things, the capacity of the airbags ie 5000/7000#s ??
your pin weight. mine for example is 7000# and 2900Lb pin. 5 lbs min 45 Lbs works best for my rig, but I have a onboard compressor so I was able to adjust going down the HI way. Good place to start... Good Luck

Firestone 5000 air bags

Not exactly sure if i fully understand how they suppose to work .
Have a 2015 6.4 Hemi Ram 2500 4x4 with Firestone airbags .
Our Montana High Country 295RL loaded is probably pushing 3000 lb pin weight .
When we picked up our 5th wheel from dealer only had 10 psi in bags ,thinking I'll just add more air when hooked up.
Hooking up 5th wheel only dropped the truck to level . Tows fine with 10 psi in bags.
Keep reading post of people running 30 to 70 P.S.I. when towing
My sis in law tows a Reflection 337rls with close to same weight as our Montana with a 2006 Dodge diesel 2500 4x4 & needs 55lbs to bring her to level . Could it be because my truck has a coil spring/ leaf springs rear suspension?

Seems like people use their airbags for various reasons. Some falsely think it will increase their payload...it doesn't. The rest of us either use them to bring the truck up to level or to simply improve the feel of the ride. For instance, I don't need to level my truck with the trailer attached, but 40psi makes the ride feel better over the bumps. For me it stabilizes the inevitable porpoising of uneven road conditions. The amount that feels best for my ride may be a different amount for your ride and is subjective to the taste of the driver.

Understand all about payload capacity of our truck . Empty pin weight as delivered of our 2021 295RL is 2300 lbs . I know this number is false due to the batteries , propane tanks ect . My truck has a payload capacity of 3130 @ towing capacity of 12,850 . Pushing the numbers on our 3/4 ton truck but doable. Don't have the compressor installed with our set up . Gonna check to air pressure in bags once the RV is loaded . Seems to me that as you add the weight that 10 PSI would grow ?

On my 3/4 ton I ran 5# empty and 50 to 55# hooked up. Now with the 1 Ton I’ve played around with it an find 60# works best. But depending on road conditions I go down to 50 and up to 65. My option is there is probably no one setting for all conditions.

Thanks Rod
Even though @ 10 lbs it brought my truck to level towing it home from dealer (133) miles it did feel spongy. First time owning a 5th wheel or air bags . Gonna play with the pressures & hope to find that magic number . Haven't realy towed it on any rough roads yet so hard for me to judge where that magic number is.
