2019 F 350 factory undercarriage rust inhibitor system

Found an oil leak on my last towing experience that coated the undercarriage and front legs of the trailer. Initially freaked out but it’s an easy fix if you have the time and an 8mm wrench. Thanks Ford, I enjoy spending my spare time fixing your sloppy work. Not my video but how I got it repaired.

you are one of the lucky ones. my oil leak on my 2019 f350 was the upper oil pan at 14000 miles. google it when you have time trans has to come out amongst a lot of other things. that oil pan is only sealed with silicone. mine was under warranty but if not was told it was an $1800 job. needless to say i was not very happy. been true blue oval all my life, both my sons have dodges, guess what i heard from them! next time going to definaty look at dodges. but then again i dont think any of them care about there products like they used to. ok i am done! lol

I don’t think it matters which truck you buy, I have friends driving GMC and Dodge we are always comparing repairs. Different trucks different problems, we all spend about the same time/money on repairs.

Ours was leaking oil as well. Initially thought it was the upper oil pan gasket. Turns out it was a clogged CCV filter. Ford published a bulletin on it.

Had trouble finding a shop that could get us in so I ordered one from a dealer off eBay and did it myself. Fortunately I caught it early so it didn't blow any seals or gaskets.

Not a bad job at all. Dry as Quartzite under there now.

Cummins has a filter too. Things can get really ugly if they get clogged.

These filters are on the maintenance schedule. Rams have a maintenance needed reminder that comes up when you start the truck. I've never heard of these filters clogging prior to their maintenance interval.

I had to replace mine earlier then the service requirements at 64,000. My service light came on at 55,000. Easy job on the Cummins.

That's good to know. Perhaps a sensor pickus up the filter that needs changing. Yes, the Ram was an easy job.
