Before someone asks
Sooner or later someone would notice that our signature has two rigs in it . In order to get more in touch with the HC crowd we decided to buy one Just put a down payment on a 2013 HC 343RL in pretty good shape and are looking forward to getting it back up to snuff.

Everybody needs 2 campers. We have a 2011 HC and a 2007 MH with all of 7000 miles on it.

The truth is we always talked about what we would do when we were too old to be on the road regularly. Right now it's going to be some time before we're risking a lot of travel so we went with what was the long term plan. We own two RV home bases. A lot at The Ranch in Lakewood, NM where we winter and a corner lot in a small town in Kansas where the kids, grandkids and great grandkids live where we summer. Once we get the new one up to our standards we'll keep them both roadworthy so we can go east and west as we please but we won't have to haul back and forth when we no longer want to. And yes, for now it will be a project sheltering at home. Then we'll have to decide which one stays where.

Dick,
If you are not going to use the wheels on your rigs, maybe it's time to consider a home or two? We enjoy seeing a lot of different places without staying anywhere very long or repeating many places. It is nice coming home also even though our rig never sits for long.

Once the virus is done, both will travel. One east from KS and the other west from NM. We like full timing enough we want twice as much

Geez Dick and Joyce. Owning one during these times is confusing enough for Louise and me. Given our druthers I would be happy to park the beast in a warmer climate permanently and get a smaller unit, like a C for traveling.

Dick, I don’t show it in my sig but we own 3 5ers. 2018 DRV set up semi permanent in Georgetown, 2019 3121rl in storage at our park in Georgetown, which is our travel rig, a 1995 31.5’ Prowler set up semi permanent on 10 acres we own outside Ruidoso NM.
Also a long term lease on a house in San Miguel de Allende MX because we don’t Rv in Mexico.
We only register the traveling rig so the other two don’t pay state taxes. In NM our taxes are so low on the land it is almost laughable. We haven’t paid property taxes in Texas for over 10 years now!

35' Montana for road travel, and the 25' salem 5er for anything where we need to offroad, axles turned, lots of truck and ground clearance. Thought about selling it, but don't want to drag Monty to far off blacktop!! Of course that doesn't include the quad trailer, utility trailer, and of course the horse trailer!!

Congratulations Dick. Hopefully it's the same number of steps from the bed to the bathroom in both.

Yep 1 2017 Montana and a 2013 28’ Class C
They both serve a purpose, at least that’s what I keep telling my wife.
