UPGRADE PINBOX
I want to upgrade my pinbox but not sure which one to choose. I have a long wheel base Ford F-250 and a 3075rl.

I put a 5th Airbourne on ours and the wife says it has improved the ride.

TrailAir, 5th Airborne, Mor-Ryde. These are the big 3 used by most folks here. You'll get positive comments for each.

We have the Mor-Ryde hitch which gives excellent service. Very compact hitch with no shock absorbers sticking out, no bushings to wear, and low maintenance over the long run.

When we went from the old solid steel box to the MorRyde it was like day and night. The MorRyde gave us a considerably better ride and I would not hesitate recommending it to anyone.
Now having said that I should also point out that NO pin box, be it a MorRyde, TrailAir, 5th Airborne whatever, is going to give you 100% improvement. The all will take away 85% to 90% of the rough ride but you will have to live with the remaining and that ain't all bad either. Consider the remaining as the price you have to pay for "Living The Good Life"

I have an F350 long bed crew cab also pulling a 3075RL. I did not have a lot of chucking to begin with. And after putting a 5th Airborne pin box on, virtually all that has been eliminated.
And watching in the rear view mirror, I can see the 5er moving up and down independently of the truck, taking out a lot of the vertical shock to the Monty.

We have a TrailAir, and are happy with it. I have no doubt that they all work to some extent, but it hard to make side by side comparisons. I did notice that Trail Air have a newer "Glide" model that seems to attempt to combine the horizontal force control of the MorRyde with the vertical control of the original Trail Air. That looks interesting.
We also went for the Trailair Equaflex rubber equalizer with wet bolts on all the shackles. This contributes to the smoother ride and eliminates the worn bushing problem. The Equaflex is a "drop-in" replacement for the original cast metal equalizer. No cutting and welding required.

We have the 5th Airborne, makes a big difference in the ride. Get the one you can get the best deal on...they'll all help.
