Glad you made it to the ultimate goal. Retirement. We still have five years to go. We really need to have some more people start working so we can keep retiring.

Thanks everybody for the good wishes, Joe-That smile seemed to start are Monday and grew all week, as of Friday, my face hurts :-) We are so looking forward to the journey. I had friend tell me that retirement was a waste of life, I told him that if playing with the grand kids, visiting family, floating a fly on your favorite water, golf new courses, see new places, watch a cloud float by while sitting under the awning drinking a beer is a waste of life, I think he needs to rethink his priorities.
Thanks again for the good wishes

We have been in Livingston, Tx the last few days, doing the Texas at thing, everything has been smooth sailing so far, registrations and drivers license now in hand.

It can be a great lifestyle. We gave it a one year try out 9 years ago and decided it would not work for us and we could keep the S&b and still travel the country at will. Hope it works for you, retirement and being on the road is a great lifestyle.

We have plans to buy another house, it maybe a few years down the road, and who knows where. Being in the 5ver for the past 5 months, neither of us have missed the house, so far so good.

That is another benefit of going full time and getting rid of your house. You get a chance to really take your time and see this country. You may just find that perfect spot and that perfect home again!

Yep...can agree with the thought of finding what feels good when/if you decide to buy another home. Used to live in Albuquerque from 76-98, now spending the summer in nm to see how it feels for the future. Sure has gotten bigger. My job this summer is to eat all the green chili in the state. John

Congratulations on your retirement! It's a big mindset change after working for the majority of your life. It's been an adjustment for us since retiring at the end of last month but it's been all good things. The best part so far is having TIME to do what we want to do.
Hope you have nothing but good times ahead.

Texas has been great, all vehicles licensed, new driver's licenses in hand, insurance switched. Livingston was great, now in Jasper visiting relatives, no flooding here. But DFW and Houston's bad. Releasing a lot of water from the dams around here.
