If you have the electric awnings now. Then this is a feature they do not support. A sun screen and a tall step ladder. I do not like the automatic awnings just for this reason. I still stake my awining down with a hold down strap and spring. which is easy to do in a situation of costal weather or questionable weather conditions by dropping the arms and adjusting to my
liking.
I don't think the newer electric awnings are adjustable at all and would not support being tied down. They do not seem to be as sturdy and durable. These are just my thoughts.
Others will say this is unnecessary with the electric and automatic awnings. They will automatically retract in adverse wind conditions. Just another feature to fail eventually.
What is the status of your TV. Was it a good outcome for you guys?
