With aboit 5 minutes or so work per plate, the existing plates can be made to fit with a wee bit of rat tail filing. The existing 1/2" bolt plates are other wise dimensionally identical to the replacement 9/16" plates which are a few thousandths thinner and appear to be made from a lesser quality steel that will not handle the suggested 90 lb ft u-bolt torque without bending. Mine started to bend at about 65 lb ft torque

432bartman, you said 2" raise in the rear. Is that measured before and after while hitched?

The kit I used was from Summit Racing, which was a 2" high block and 2" wide (I know the springs are 1 3/4"), but that's what I used. For anybody else wanting to use their kit #BEL-6102, purchase their tie plates too, they will match better than the factory ones, unless you can find the 1 3/4" blocks. Regardless, this is how these trailers should come from the factory. The height is perfect now.

That's fantastic! Curious, now that you've pulled it for a little while with the lift on the trailer, did it change the ride characteristics of the trailer at all? I'm pretty sure I need to do this same thing, now I'm wrestling with whether I should wait till next season. It's getting very cold here in the Colorado Rockies, but I'm hopeful to escape this winter at least once, and go somewhere warmer for a week or two.
Do you have any before & after pictures of the trailer with it hitched up?
Thanks for sharing,
Russ

Just catching up on this super relevant thread. I'm about to jump into this with a planned 2" lift kit. 432Bartman - think I'm going the Beltech Summit Racing route BUT was a little concerned about the 2.25 hollow block width with the 1 3/4 leafs - - did you just center it and get coverage the outside of the extrusion? You used the original places right - did you just widen the hole a tad as others have suggested?
I'm guessing you've been back under it several times since - any followup comment on wear etc?
Thanks all for staffing the forum!

So far I have probably about 7,000 miles on the setup and it's working perfectly. Nothing has come loose. About the only thing with the blocks being slightly wider than the spring, are the u-bolts have a slight bend to them, but bolted in just fine as I recall.

U-bolts:
https://www.roughcountry.com/u-bolt-kit-7608.html
1.75"x2" Aluminum bar, cut to length here (4), 6in lengths:
https://www.onlinemetals.com/en/buy/...uded/pid/19498
You'll need to drill the blocks and put in your own alignment rod to center it. I think they are 1/2" steel dowels.
You will need to use a drill or rotary tool to offset the existing u-bolt plates outward for the larger diameter u-bolts.

So I’ve received the BEL-6102 keys I’m totally confused by the “wedge” shape of them. They have a 2 degree angle on them and so are 2” at one end and 2 1/8th at the other. So depending on which way i fit them front to back, surely I’m messing with the angle of the springs etc? This doesn’t seem right?
Has anyone else followed the 6102 path and successfully fitted them with/without this issue?
Thanks
Darran

Probably should use something that fits correctly and is made for your size spring instead of something that is used for another application and is cheaper. Your springs don`t use the taper block. the taper blocks are used for your trucks axle to align with the drive shaft angle. There`s a couple of stores that sell what you need, albeit they are more expensive but the correct product to use. These are the blocks I used, easy install with basic tools and new correct size U bolts.
Remember that`s a lot of weight your towing around.

I ordered all my stuff from Summit Racing.......the 2" blocks and new u-bolts. I don't know if I ever showed a picture of the trailer with the 2" blocks on it, but this is how it sits........definitely higher than it was from the factory. I think I've been running this setup for over 2 years with no issues.

BTW, i did get my lift kit fitted without issue. I went with 2"" kit fitted by a local 4x4 company. It rode great on the 3K miles I did last season. Net on the clearance that it delivered, I didn't get as much at the truck rails as I thought I would - barely 1/2 inch at the closest part at the truck. The ladder issue is real - be ready to block out the stock steps when this is fitted....

The Canadian company, TrailerBlocks, does not tell their location on their web site, https://www.trailerblocks.com/pages/about-us , but their phone number and contact info is on the site. I'm pretty sure they are a machine shop that just happens to make and sell the blocks and kits too.
